At the heart of HRUC’s Foundation Learning provision is a clear and ambitious vision - to empower every learner, particularly those with high needs, and to support them to:

  • develop the confidence, skills, and independence required to progress into mainstream education and employment
  • or a rewarding and purposeful adult life.

We are proud to support a diverse cohort of learners, including those with complex needs and those who may have previously faced barriers to education.

Inclusive Excellence

Our provision is delivered to the highest standards of dignity, care, and specialist expertise, particularly for learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs.

To be opened in September 2026, our state-of-the-art Barra Hall site marks a significant investment in inclusive education, offering purpose-built spaces designed to support learners with the most complex profiles.

Alongside this, our carefully curated space at Uxbridge College provides tailored support for learners with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), while also catering for those with mild to moderate learning needs, ensuring a fully inclusive pathway across the spectrum.

Our highly trained, dedicated, specialist staff work closely with each learner’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), delivering personalised programmes that are carefully mapped to individual outcomes ensuring progress, independence, and meaningful achievement at every stage.

Harrow College continues to lead with a well-established, high-quality SEND provision, delivering exceptional outcomes for learners from PMLD through to mild learning needs, with a strong focus on independence, progression, and preparation for adulthood.
