Students from Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC) are celebrating another year of fantastic results across A-Level, BTEC, T-Level and University of the Arts London (UAL) qualifications.
The highlights
- A-Level students across HRUC achieved a 99% pass rate, an increase from last year, with the number of A*- C grades also increasing this year
- BTEC students achieved a 97% achievement rate in the results received, another increase on last year
- Students on UAL courses, which include many creative arts subjects, achieved a 99% pass rate, with many courses seeing a 100% pass rate
- A strong performance in T-Levels with several courses achieving a 100% pass rate and a strong number of high grades.
Educational journeys continue
A large number of HRUC students are continuing their educational journeys at university, with destinations including the University of Warwick, St Mary’s University, the University of York, and City St George’s, University of London.
Others are progressing into apprenticeships in a variety of industries or moving directly into employment.
Uxbridge College student Rebecca May took three A-Levels and achieved A* in Biology, A in Chemistry, and B in Maths. She is now going on to study Biochemistry at the University of Warwick.
She said: “I’m really proud that I kept going and didn’t give up. I’m so happy with what I’ve achieved!”
Support and opportunities
Olivia Skwarczowska, from Richmond upon Thames College, studied T-Level 3 Education and Childcare.
She said: "The teachers have been super supportive throughout my studies, and I feel like Richmond upon Thames College has provided me with lots of opportunities I would not have otherwise received. With my positive results, I am now able to go on to study Psychology at City St George's, University of London."
Also from Richmond, Yuto Seki achieved three A*s in his Computing, Maths and Physics A-Levels and is now going on to study Physics at the University of York.
Next steps
Harrow College student Sidrah Esaf achieved Distinction, Distinction, Merit in BTEC Level 3 Applied Science. She is continuing her journey at HRUC, enrolling at Uxbridge College for the HNC Level 4 Mechanical Engineering course.
She said: “I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved. The teachers have been so supportive and given me lots of opportunities – now I’m excited for my next step!”
