HRUC governors, Sue Kingman and Sujit Reddy, along with Sandra Ospina Zapata (Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer) presented a ceremonial cheque signed by HRUC CEO, Keith Smith, to David Logan, CEO of Richmond Food Bank.

This festive season, HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is celebrating the spirit of giving by supporting our local communities. Through the incredible support of our staff, we’ve been able to make a real difference for families in need.

We’re proud to share that, thanks to the generosity of our staff, we’ve delivered urgently needed items and an extended Executive Management Team contribution to three local food banks:

Sonia Lollia (Employee Experience Manager), Yashvi Prajapati (Employee Experience Administrator), Usha Chowdhury (Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer) presenting a ceremonial cheque signed by HRUC CEO, Keith Smith, to Marianna Bahlay of Yiewsley and West Drayton Food Bank.

While our original pledge was to match donations up to a certain limit, we chose to go even further, donating the full capped amount of £500 per site to maximise our support, in partnership with the Trussell Trust.

From hygiene essentials to non-perishables, our campuses came together in a powerful act of collective kindness.

Governors and colleagues from our People and Organisational Development and Marketing, Brand and Communications teams also had the privilege of visiting the food banks in person to deliver these donations and see firsthand the positive impact donations are making.

Thank you to every employee who contributed and to the incredible donation keepers and volunteers who made it all possible.
