Reflecting on her win, Joanne comments: "It truly felt amazing to win the Apprentice of the Year award. I’m incredibly grateful to have my hard work and dedication recognised as I completed my apprenticeship. It was a proud moment and a wonderful experience to celebrate."

Her success also highlights the power of apprenticeships at every stage of life. Joanne’s achievement demonstrates that it is never too late to learn new skills, build confidence and transform your career.

We are proud to confirm six HRUC apprentices from a variety of career backgrounds such as Early Years, Catering and Hospitality and Professional Services, were shortlisted as finalists and awarded Highly Commended by the judges. This recognition reflects the high calibre of apprentices across the college group and the meaningful contributions they are making within their workplaces.

Their success demonstrates the impact of apprenticeships in helping individuals gain practical skills, apply learning in real working environments and grow in confidence while progressing in their careers.

Celebrating Apprenticeship Success

These achievements are a proud moment for HRUC and reflect the college’s commitment to supporting students to achieve their potential.

At HRUC, we support wellbeing, personal growth and positive futures for all learners. Through strong partnerships with employers, apprentices are able to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed in their careers while making valuable contributions to their organisations.

As a college group, we work together to deliver exceptional learning and life-changing opportunities to our students. We are proud to be a Community of Leaders, sharing responsibility for student success and supporting learners at every stage of their journey.

The success of Joanne and our Highly Commended apprentices demonstrates the transformative impact of apprenticeships and the strength of collaboration between colleges, students and employers.

Together, we are building an outstanding college group and a stronger HRUC

We congratulate Joanne and all of our recognised apprentices on this fantastic achievement and look forward to seeing their continued success.
