Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC) is hosting its first-ever Employer Awards on Tuesday 13 October.
Outstanding experiences
Taking place at HRUC’s Uxbridge campus, the evening will celebrate the achievements of employer partners who have provided outstanding experiences for students and staff in the academic year 2025/26. This could be through the delivery of masterclasses, talks and site visits, industry input into curriculum design and planning, or work experience and internships.
The organisations involved include:

- Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce
- West London Careers Hub
- South London Careers Hub
- Brunel University of London
- Navigate
- West London Alliance
- Skills Builder.
The winners will be decided by a panel of independent judges.
Boosting employability
HRUC has a rich range of strategic partnerships and relationships with both SMEs and large employers such as Heathrow, Amazon, Brunel University of London, and Thames Water.
The colleges’ ongoing business partnerships ensure students enjoy exceptional work experience placements and other opportunities to boost their employability, life skills and confidence. These employers also play a key role in shaping industry placements and co-designing curriculums.
Time to celebrate

Liam Plumridge, Assistant Director of Enhanced Skills and Employability at HRUC, said: “It has been a pleasure to organise our very first Employer Awards to celebrate our amazing partners who do so much to benefit our learners.
The judges had a tremendously difficult job to come up with the winners, with some fantastic success stories arising on how our learners’ lives are changed from the interactions and opportunities our employers provide.”
