Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC) is proud to announce an incredible series of achievements as we celebrate being shortlisted across multiple prestigious award categories at the West London Business Awards 2026, Hillingdon Business Awards 2026 and this year’s upcoming Richmond Business Awards.
Championing equality, diversity and inclusion
HRUC is delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award at both the Hillingdon Business Awards and the West London Business Awards. This honour reflects our unwavering commitment to creating inclusive learning environments and fostering opportunities for all.
Outstanding apprentice talent
We are also excited to announce seven of our exceptional apprentices have been named finalists for Apprentice of the Year at the West London Business Awards. This recognition highlights their dedication, skill, and impact across diverse sectors including Health and Social Care, Hospitality, Professional Services, and Early Years.
Extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit
Adding to this success, Jenisha, one of our inspiring Level 3 Business students, has been shortlisted for Young Entrepreneur of the Year at both awards for her innovative venture, DarkDev - a collaborative service that designs clean, modern, and professional websites for start-ups, small businesses, and local stores. Jenisha’s achievement is a testament to the creativity and entrepreneurial mindset we nurture at HRUC.
Richmond Upon Thames College shortlisted for Corporate Social Responsibility Award
We are especially proud to share that Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC), part of Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC), has been announced as a finalist at the Richmond Business Awards for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
This nomination recognises a groundbreaking partnership between RuTC, Amazon, and The Conservation Trust, which has created transformative opportunities for our SEND students. More information on this project can be found here.

These nominations showcase the strength of our partnerships with employers, the talent of our students, and the real-world impact of HRUC in shaping future leaders and innovators. With over 700 apprentices and 14,000 students supported across industries such as Technical, Professional Services, Hospitality, and Early Years as well as partnering with over 1700 employers, HRUC remain committed to driving skills development and business growth in the region.
