Nepal
International applicants who require a UK Student Visa have the option to study either:
- A one-year Higher National Certificate (HNC) programme or
- A two-year Higher National Diploma (HND) programme.
HNC - credits and duration
The HNC is a Level 4 qualification worth 120 credits and is completed over one academic year.
Students who successfully complete the HNC can progress to the second year of the HND.
HND - credits and duration
The HND (Higher National Diploma) is a Level 5 qualification, comprising 120 Level 5 credits, and is completed over two years in total, including the Level 4 HNC stage.
International students choosing the HND route will be sponsored for the full two-year duration, subject to meeting the relevant visa, academic and enrolment requirements.

Upon successful completion of the HND, students will have achieved 240 credits in total:
- 120 credits at Level 4 plus
- 120 credits at Level 5.
You can then progress directly to the final year (Level 6) of a UK Bachelor's Degree Top-Up at one of our partner universities, subject to the university's entry and progression requirements.
