How did studying Media at Harrow College set Anthony up for success?
An inspirational speaker’s career is continuing to go from strength to strength since he graduated from Harrow College.
Anthony Bennett studied Media Production at Harrow College and graduated back in 2010, before going on to study Media Production at the University of Winchester.
He says the skills he learned at Harrow College continue to help him in his career today as a motivational speaker, travelling around the country delivering inspirational talks to schools, colleges, workplaces and other organisations.
How did the teachers at Harrow College support you?
Anthony said: “James Carew and Rajvi Veya were the best teachers I’ve had in my life. James was the most grounded, down-to-earth teacher ever. He taught us about teamwork and the importance of helping each other. He really cared about us.
“With Rajvi, it always felt peaceful in her class. She’d go above and beyond to help us.”
How did you start your career as an inspirational speaker?
Anthony explained: “I was given an opportunity from Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. They asked if I would like to share my story with Morgan Stanley. So I had to make that choice, yes or no. When you say the word no, nothing changes. If you say the word yes, amazing things could happen.”
What advice would you give to students?
Anthony said: “If you’re trying to figure it all out by yourself, it will take a lot longer than if you ask for help. So speak to friends and family, reach out to others, and they can help you map out the pathway to get to where you want to be.”
